That's what nullification is. You do it with pot all the time, I'm sure. Resistance has to start somewhere, and it starts by recognizing & acting under the knowledge that aspects of our government act outside of vested powers. It starts by realizing that you are the sovereign, each citizen his own king, with inalienable rights not meted out by uncle Sam, but by god. That's the concept anyways. In practice it takes organization and force on the level of a militia.

I understand that, I just think the sovereign citizens are fighting a long lost battle and all they're going to do is get jailed and look dumb on youtube.

Yes. It's practically virtue signalling to put in a half effort. They need to be willing to kill, because all state power is ultimate backed by the barrel of a gun. They won't hesitate to use theirs. Hide or fight, but don't get cold feet.
