Political implications aside, if my son made that argument to me in favor of giving him unfettered access to whatever media he chose, I think I would just concede that he's probably already mature enough to handle unfiltered access.
Though I wouldn't call it censorship when the parent's have control over the media their children consume, but the argument is valid when it's between adults.
