Dude was fired. What fucking bullshit.

I expect another wave of refugees from this. Why create content for a site that applies rules so haphazardly?

The rules aren't haphazardly applied. They are applied exactly as the admins see fit which happens to be consistent with their PC agenda. It should come as no surprise at this point that they arbitrarily apply their rules to people who go against the grain of their agenda and special exceptions to those that fall in line.

How do you think that people get doxxed? The Admins on reddit have your IP address and likely your email. The admins already have been caught editing posts, it isn't that hard to figure out.

I started stirring up shit about them censoring all positive comments from a thread about people who've met Donald Trump IRL. Boom, 5 year account permabanned. That's when I officially said fuck Reddit and came to voat full-time.

There is absolutely no evidence that @SaneGoatiSwear BRUTALLY RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990. People should stop saying that @SaneGoatiSwear BRUTALLY RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990 because saying that @SaneGoatiSwear BRUTALLY RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990 is slander to his good name.

If its true it would make me more mad at his employer than anything. I hope he takes legal action if its true.

[–] dabork 0 points 13 points (+13|-0) ago

Nothing he can do. At-will employment means an employer can fire you for not liking the color tie you wore today. Operating a controversial (for some) subreddit that could potentially harm the reputation of the employer by association is definitely grounds for termination at most places. Doxxing is also not illegal considering 99% of it is done with public records or other publicly accessible information. Unless they hacked something or somehow gained unauthorized access to his information there's literally nothing he can do.

That's why we keep as many layers of separation between our online lives and real lives as possible especially if we're going to piss in the face of feminists who have nothing better to do but ruin our lives.

So.....why not release the name of the place that fired you and let others call and tell them how disappointed they are in the decision they made?

Why would the admins say anything? They're in on it.

  1. Start doxxing SJWs

  2. Post dox in same topic where SJWs are doxxing people

The Reddit admins would ban you in seconds. The SJWs that are doxxing will never be banned.

The problem is, as you communicate online, each individual thing means nothing. But collectively, they can piece together enough to figure some stuff out. Identifying gender is fairly easy. If you post in /[rv]/Buffalo, they've narrowed down where you probably live. You post in /[rv]/relationships and they learn that you're married with 1 child. you use formatting like [rv] and they can guess you're a techy. Hell, you might even post your job title under TIFU or how many employees you manage under job advice. The more you post, the more you are identifiable. That's why I always delete my old comments after a while... No point in making it that easy.

A few days ago I saw a post on the front page saying users shouldn't be able to delete old comments. I'd love to be able to leave my comments up forever, but I don't want to be doxed. Could we get a "disassociate" option? Perhaps, after 7 days, disassociate my username from my post. Or obfuscate it per post (for continuity within a thread of comments).

Posting a little disinformation is also useful.

At least on Reddit, deleting your post after a while only helps as long as they haven't decided to target you. Once they deem you "problematic" - which there is no way of knowing when or why it happens - they put you on a list. Here is one of their old lists which contains (tens of?) thousands of usernames, complete with the reason and the comment that landed someone on that list. And once you made it on such a list, they grab all your posts - either simply via RSS or directly through the reddit API - and store and compile them in their own databases. So even if you delete posts after some time, they'll still have them.

No idea if this is possible here on Voat. It probably is though, so the only way to protect yourself is to chose a username with exactly zero information, never post anything personal, and switch usernames every other month or so. And most importantly, avoid reddit - it's too dangerous, as the admins really are complicit. There was a former admin who bragged about exposing the alt accounts of a mod of a "problematic" subreddit (I think it was metaredditcancer) even though that mod was using TOR. This former admin is now a mod on SRS, so go figure.

There is an archive of that admin post floating around. I'll see if I can find it. I'll edit this post when I do. Edit: https://archive.is/d3quC

Maybe not give out identifiable info or post it on a anon sub/ anon post when you can't help yourself?

I like how populated their game-specific subreddits are, like path of exile for instance.

The rest has turned into such garbage.

Reddit is reaching their final stage of the cleansing... soon it will be over and no free thought will be left to have.
