I've reached out to Deimorz here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Oppression/comments/3agw7q/snoopdogg_im_ready_to_lead_twitter_snoopforceo/csduv3r?context=3

I think there may be some other circumstances at work, they aren't IP banning all users.

there wouldn't happen to be a way it could maybe be set up a new bot and instead repost to a separate voat subverse? I mean at that point they wouldn't even be able to find the bot to ban it.

It was created by go1dfish who was shadowbanned a few weeks ago. Since then go1dfish has refused to make a new account and has been added as an approved submitter in all the subs he cares to post/comment in.

Sounds like the natives are restless. The water is warm over here.

They are just trying to cull anyone out of the Reddit herd that may cause problems for the management. Reddit has become the "Hello Kitty: Island Adventure" of social sites.

It reminds me of Buzzfeed and Gawker. Not that I frequent those sites a lot.

All this just makes me more sad than anything else. That place took up a lot of my online time but now it just doesn't feel the same anymore.

Because every time you think, "OK, this is just beyond the pale, there must be some of the old Reddit left, they would never go beyond this," Reddit admins come up behind you with an even spikier dildo. This one's attached to a jackhammer.

Gotta flex as much control as you can if you want to inspire confidence in your investors.

I can't wait til the sale goes through and everybody finally figures out why this shit is happening. Not because of some social justice campaign, not because of some fight for political correctness, just good old fashioned money. Reddit is a marketing behemoth and you bet your ass there's a few companies who would love to get their fingers in their to help push their shit. But first, Reddit admins have to prove they actually have some semblance of control over this beast.

You hit the nail on the head. None of this is about social justice. All those sjws feel so proud for supporting a giant corporation.

I can't wait until the investors react, once they see that they've bought into a manipulated product. They'll find out that Ellen and Conde Nast were hiding 'problems' (like having a user base with a mind of its own) to make the site "look good" as an investment. Trying to inflate the perceived value of the company while actually undermining the product's long-term viability.

The inevitable lawsuits by angry new investors will be most amusing. I just hope there are some surviving backups of the emails among Reddit leadership.

Sometimes the coverup is the crime:

Imagine, for example, the GM "ignition switch scandal" where General Motors suppressed reports of faulty ignition switches for many many years. Not only that, but they didn't even fix the switch design (they just kept producing them). Now imagine an email between two GM execs saying:

"We mustn't let the public know about the huge problems we are having. You and I have a lot of shares in this company, and we need to sell off before anyone finds out about the carefully concealed mess GM is in! Otherwise, you and I will lose money."

Maybe some of Ellen's staff will be smarter than that, and will erase all traces of their intentional manipulation of Reddit's value for personal gain. But Ellen herself doesn't seem all that smart: Look at her and her husband's failed lawsuits, look at her husbands ponsi scheme for god's sake - that is some elite-level dumb right there. They're like "Dumb and Dumber" on steroids.
