Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that there has been an influx of paid shills over there. I was in a post about the economy and I swear everybody on there was defending these giant corporations against tax evasion. The conversations just feel different over there. Idk, maybe all this recent shit has poisoned my view of reddit to the point that I find what I want to find. Either way it's been ruined for me too. But that's cool because now we have this untainted internet paradise! Lol. I like goats more than aliens anyway.

Exactly! That's what I was getting at, it literally just feels different to read through the comments and see which ones are the popular ones and which are getting shit on. It's like an aura of discomfort for me now.

We should've known the alien would eventually anally probe the user base. THEY ALWAYS DO!

Go and read any thread about Kim Dotcom on reddit, I could almost swear that there is a bunch of shills in there being paid to make him seem like hitler / a child rapist.

Most of the Bernie Sanders fanboys' comments read like a script to a political ad. The shilling is really obvious.

I wonder if some sort of SVS will spring up here. The anti vote brigading measures seem like they might work, at least til they all get enough points to go stupid like over there, or am I missing something with the way Voat works?

I've seen a lot of the second one, and a lot more of people saying stuff like "We didn't want you here anyways!" proclaiming it like they're on some sort of power trip or something. It's just turned into a giant cesspool of a shit show.

Yep. I honestly thought about leaving, but I'm staying active over there just to piss off the "please go to Voat and never come back" crowd.

I think that people are trying to wreck as much of Reddit as possible before they hop on the Voat boat.

I can't tell, I just know every time I go there I end up closing the tab almost fuming with the idiocy after looking in to the comments.

Every time I go into the comments now, it makes me want to strangle someone.

To me that seems like a poor strategy. Why would you start a fire on a rat infested ship when you're hopping in a life boat? It will just encourage more rats to hop in your life boat.

I don't think that's a very accurate analogy of what he's saying. In this case, your "rats" are the admins of reddit, not its userbase. Burning it down hurts the admins way more than the users, and that's the point.

First they came for Digg, and I did not speak out— Because I did not use Digg. Then they came for the Facebook, and I did not speak out— Because I did not use the Facebook. Then they came for Reddit, and I did not speak out— Then all that there was were SJW-Reddit users, so I left.

i kinda feel like the trolls stayed, and the ones that became disillusioned came here first, not to say the migration is over, on the contrary, as the sheep call for a smaller pen invariably more will jump out and rest here. it dumbfounds me that the mods and executives loose sight so quickly that they are not the reason for the continuation of the platform, that rather it is and always will be the people who come to contribute to the site being the core of its success. reddit is spiraling down the drain as per the liberal agenda that attempted to define it, when in actuality it was the people who are, or in this case were, its definition.

This outcome for reddit is such a disappointment. So many huge communities, built over many years, only to fall prey to the ad-men and sjw political-correctness leagues' infestation.

The switch to voat has been incredibly grassroots. I've never before participated in a grassroots movment. Think about it: if the conversations happening between users on reddit were instead happening in person between people in homes with their physical neighbors, this reddit to voat migration sounds just like historically significant events in high school history textbooks.

I guess in that context yeah. That is true. We'll be remembered as the Pilgrims traveling to America on the Mayflower, but instead we'll be called "The Goats who traveled to Voat on a Link"
