Me:

My only contention is that you seem to think progressed stopped and that they didn't advance the arts.

You:

No, that's not what I said at all.

Me quoting your initial claim:

When muslims stopped conquering they stopped advancing scientifically.

That's EXACTLY what you said! I didn't doctor it, edit it, or even take it out of context.

If you'd like to go back and amend that statement, feel free. If I were you, I'd fashion it a bit like this:

They didn't advance scientifically as much as the stupid-fucking idiot leftists would want us to believe but I begrudgingly admit that they did some good.

That's what I'd suggest, but you go with what you gotta go with. I'm quoting you and your statements. It's not like I'm just making this up. It's what YOU said. LOL It's not like I just draw this stuff out of thin air - I'm quoting YOU. Sheesh!

You seem to be confused here. In order for something to stop it has to have a beginning. Arabs were clearly advancing scientifically as they were expanding, but when they stopped expanding their advancement slowed down and eventually stopped. By the 15th century there was almost no scientific advancements in their empires. The overwhelming majority of advancements came from Europe.

Do you dispute these facts? if not, I don't see why you're so confused with this. Maybe by the word stop? Then how about slowed down to a crawl? Does that make it clearer?

Hyperbole is a lie. It's intellectual dishonesty.

Now, for your facts.

First, why are we beginning at 1400? Second, what is the image from? Third, where did they get their data?

I can neither agree with, nor dispute, those facts. Either way, they are immaterial. I've quoted you saying that it stopped. You're now acknowledging that that was hyperbole and that you meant something other than what you said. That's good enough for me.
