Hi, new Voaters and new subs to /v/mathrock! Thanks for joining and sharing some great music so far.
I dislike rules and don’t want to be a genre snob, but there are a couple of submissions that are in no way musically related to math rock, even by the broadest definitions.
Do you think we should:
Leave it up to users to up/downvote submissions?
Remove submissions that are clearly unrelated?
Either way feelings will be hurt if people care about their fake internet points or have wildly differing opinions of what constitutes math rock. Luckily (or not), I don’t care about your feelings, but I just want to keep the sub on-topic and relevant for math rock fans.
If submissions are removed, they will always show up in the public modlog (which is currently empty).
Please let me know what you think about this, or if you have any other feedback on the sub so far.
P.S. I know comments currently look like crap and I’ll fix it later today.
Update: I've added some basic rules and information on math rock to the sidebar. Hopefully that will do!
