Yeah, you really seem like you don't know what the problem with the issue of unregulated fights is, nor the complexity of the issue.
My assumptions are about your inability to understand the issue of unregulated MMA events, not someone getting into a brawl with someone else for the sake of fighting. We're talking sporting events where the fighters don't pick their opponents, and about something that an damage the status of MMA in America.
I know about corruption with athletic commissions and all that, but they also do things like make sure promoters are having their shows run professionally so that fighters get paid, have decent referees who have an understanding of what it takes to keep fighters safe to the best of their abilities so that you don't get some dumb redneck standing around in a cage while an unconscious fighter is getting punched 1000 times in the face before a finish is called, making sure properly trained medical staff is on hand, and that fighters who shouldn't be fighting (besides blood diseases, there's also fighters with concussions trying to compete, skin infections, etc) and way more. If you think it's "all a farce" then you obviously have no idea about what kind of shit promoters use to pull before MMA was a regulated sport.
Trust me dude, I know a lot about the process (especially in California, where I live and am actually licensed to fight in) and about the regulation process. It's a complex thing that's a necessary evil. Just because there are things you don't agree with when it comes to how they run things doesn't mean they aren't doing shit to make sure the sport remains organized and that nobody gets fucking killed on these shows.
I know who Phoenix Jones is. Regional MMA fighter that's a real life version of "Kick Ass" and regional MMA fighter. Lost his WSOF after that viral video you're referring to like a smart ass got him some notoriety.
You're not making any sense or going anywhere with this. We're talking about trained fighters fighting untrained fighters when they shouldn't be, not trying to make fights soft or anything.
Because the whole point is trying to prevent someone from getting killed or seriously injured in an already dangerous sport. Having regulations and trained professionals on staff prevents serious shit from happening most of the time (I say most of the time because of referees like Kim Winslow being in the sport) as well as making sure things are fair for both parties involved.
And we need regulation to keep fighters healthy. There's lot of things I can bring up. I just brought up blood because 1. this is a contact sport that involves blood most of the time, and 2. I was watching UFC 191 and didn't want to spend too much on this. Like I said, it's complex, deep, and more than you make it out to be,
That fight launched an investigation and found that these fights were common in this promotion. That goes hand-in-hand with the issues of unregulated events, which allowed that fight to take place when it shouldn't have let it happen. Even if there was no blood in that fight, it doesn't take away from the fact that other fights on unregulated events do get bloody, and that's something to always keep in mind.
That fight which launched that investigation exposed tons of shit about XFS and these unregulated events, like this photo of a guy getting stitched up fucking dirt.
And with unregulated events, you'll continue not to know whether or not someone had a disease in the cage, if someone caught it and is still fighting on these events.
No, it's not. That fight started an investigation and has found tons of examples of promotion malpractice. It's not just about one fight, but an entire organization getting by because of legal loopholes, and it's putting lots of fighters in danger of not just cause of safety reasons, but professionally too.
No, it's not about "butthurt feelings" or anything like that. This isn't a SJW cause or anything. This is about untrained fighters facing trained fighters.
