Finally managed a fresh windows install where I shrunk volumes and created multiple drives on my HD so I can't bitch and moan about how i can't use windows when I'm trying to do something like gaming. I'll try to keep this thread updated once I finish the installation process and get a browser. I will say the first thing I always have the most trouble with is installing drivers on a new linux distro. If anyone has any pointers on how to do that, I'd love to hear.
*ubuntu I know that but I forget.
*Having issues with installation. Swap file and partition confusion on my part. Not too sure what to do.

In Ubuntu there is a driver manager somewhere in the settings. It's called "additional drivers". There you select the proprietary graphics driver and microcode for your CPU. Then reboot to load the graphics driver if you changed it.
