I'm not sure what kind of tutorials you are asking for but you can install one of these clients and get started easily

If you are using something based on Ubuntu you can just type "sudo apt-get install electrum" and you are good to go. If you are going to keep a lot of bitcoins remember to get a hardware wallet or use it on a computer that never connects to the internet. Also back up the seed you get in paperform somewhere.

Ideally I'd want something that is maintained. I'm sure bitcoin clients require security updates from time to time.
