Partially manual. I use a few tools to cut the workload

Maybe we can get a how-to section for stuff like this added to the stickied with posts on how to do things and the links to the threads with a beginner/intermediate/expert classification for each.

Duplicates yes, viruses no. That's the job of your virus scanner.

I would love to see a guide to mostly automated metadata correction that is better than BLISS and MP3tager, but I don't know if it exists. BLISS is pretty good.
