I keep getting upgrade notifications on windows 7. The two options are "Upgrade" or "Start download, upgrade later"

Windows is like a rapist who won't let me say no. I have to click the exit button and run away.

Hmm, I could google that problem and get it resolved swiftly, or I could get a fuckton of upvotes by participating in a circlejerk...

You can't even use google, so I imagine working on a Unix based system will be too tough for you.

For anyone interested, there are a couple of ways of resolving that. Easiest one is just executing this in command prompt:

wusa /uninstall /KB:3035583

...which will remove update responsible for that prompt. You can also delete GWX directory, then creating a zero-length file with the same name with restrictive permissions, which will silently crash Trustedinstaller when it tries to recreate directory. I'm using similar method to stop W10 from forcing reboot some time after an update. You should be familiar with roundabout ways of solving problems if you're using Linux distros.

Or you can just not use Windows, but if you're gamers, that's not an option - Linux is pathetic for gaming.

I'm in a residency, dick. I imagine working on the human body is too tough for you. Maybe you can google it. The reason people hate linux so much is because of people like you who pretend like its the easiest thing. I can think of at least 5 programs I need that I'd never be able to use again on linux.

If you'd just admit that its a nightmare from a UX perspective, maybe people would start using it more. Whats easier, a one click notification from the app store to upgrade your programs. Or opening terminal, and typing "apt-get install update upgrade.tar.gz /howThefuckdoIunpacktarballs again.gz" Wanna know how you unpack a compressed folder on Mac? You just double click on the fucker.

Look up the security updates that added this 'feature' and uninstall them. Enjoy W7 without nagware.

I saw the amount of upvotes this had, and got slightly worried that voat had gotten cucked up. I'm ashamed of myself for thinking such terrible thoughts. ;D

If G-Sync would work with my GTX 980 Ti I would switch in a heartbeat. I cannot get G Sync working, even after installing newest drivers and everything. :(

G-Sync changes the refresh rate of your display in real-time, to match the frames that your card is outputting. Stops the dreaded screen tearing effect.
