Poor Linux is getting emails for every corner of the globe, probably in at least two different languages. Teaching Spam filters to ignore kernel patches is really only useful for a handful of people, important people, but very few. As much as Google depends on Linux working, they could easily afford task a few interns to just manually sort his mail.

At most organizations a personal assistant would do that for someone like Linus. Just to help triage thousands of emails to the correct destination.
