In Linux I always preferred the panel at the top. it was easier on my eyes. In Windows the panel just seems to be in the wrong place.

Top and bottom I think. Depends upon which desktop I'm running. Oh, I know. I put the desktops at the bottom. All the other junk at the top.

Sounds like where I used to work in a WinXP environment. A lot of fear. We did manufacturing work. Software and support was foreign and support people struggled with English. That plus an unfamiliar OS went too far.

One of the more satisfying things about switching to Linux around '08 has been seeing the occasional scammer not understand the game. I'd add that I did so with trepidation and early experiences were mixed. But I'm never go back at this point.

Love it. Too lazy to fk with 'em that far. When my pals at M'soft security telephone with an urgent message about a problem I ask 'em "which computer" and tell 'em "I've got 12 in this room." (Used to get telephone stuff wanting me to change telephone service. I'd say "We don't have a telephone" and hang up.

Ah. Something to aspire to. - I've thought about seeing what happens if I lead them to Haiku in a VM. But I lack the energy. - Still use Win7 b/c for some things the drivers are better. But it's months in between.

For research purposes of course.
