LibreBoot is a very important project.

It is currently the only fully free alternative for booting your computer or laptop. There are several computers, some servers and a few laptops that are supported.

The project developers deliberately restrict themselves to hardware that can be run without any binary blobs or proprietary software.

MiniFree make free computers available and proceeds from sales help contribute to the LibreBoot Project, which we should all try and support.

You can see a list of hardware currently compatible with LibreBoot on the website.

Essentially, Intel has been making it impossible to run their CPUs without proprietary software for a number of years. However, Dual core CPUs that are supported are still pretty good for a lot of day-to-day uses.
