I tried it on a VM, and its somewhat working on my mint 18 cinnamon install.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install kdesudo
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
I had some issues with the screen locker breaking and the software manager working without kdesudo which I added to the steps above. It's not too bad, but are there any other things I may have missed? Should I install another software manager?
EDIT: I wouldn't recommend doing this to anything but a VM, there is a reason why mint 18 doesn't have KDE yet.
