There's been some solutions posted on this sub before involving GPU tweaks and switching Compositors. If it doesn't fix itself by upgrading make a thread and see what happens
Tried everything that I have found online. I have a shitty gaming laptop running an Nvidia 670(or something like that). Official drivers don't work, slow as hell and buggy. Unofficial drivers fix the screen tearing while browsing the internet but does not fix it in games, and yes I made sure I had VSync on.
I have attempted multiple forums online and the consensus was that I had a piece of shit that needs to be burned with fire.

Have you tried changing the window manager to compton? That made it flawless for me at least

I have tried everything in the windows settings window. And Compton by itself.
