It involved systemd not shutting down wifi properly and restarting the system on a shutdown call. The same thing happens on USB powerdown which I had to also use a script and symlink it to solve.
I don't use Unity, I'm an Xfce guy so no lenses for me.

By fixed I mean replace systemd. And the work around for your wifi is probably installing proprietary drivers ;)
But I am a Debian user nowadays. I didged Ubuntu when the lenses were introduced.

Ahhh, and they haven't fixed those issues yet?
And it is just the idea of those lenses being installed that bothers me. The mere existence.
