Canonical owns a copyright on Ubuntu name and they charge for its use. I thought this was common knowledge by now. That's why Valve switched from Ubuntu to Debian for their Steam OS; they didn't want to pay for a sticker that says Powered by Ubuntu.

I don't care about their stance, truth be told as a Gentoo, Slackware, Manjaro and Arch user I don't even care about Ubuntu at all. But it's their business model and they have every right to do it. Also, what does my username have to do with anything at all here?
