Who's more efficient, though: the modders or the devs? I'd rather have a game that is good, gets made once and is open to 3rd parties (read: skyrim) than incremental, mundane, "official" updates.
Guess that's where personal preference comes in. I'm just suggesting a game that I like, in the same genre, that runs on Linux. As requested. Anything else is up to you.
