Ya but how does that work for fleas? Can’t they just jump over it?

[–] Samsquamch [S] 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

They don't know it's harmful and fleas crawl to travel, they only jump when threatened or to get to a new surface. It's one of the easiest ways to exterminate them.

Very interesting thanks

What if fleas are already in the house or on the animals?

All of what OP said is true, EXCEPT, it is not 100% safe for pets, precautions must be made to ensure they or you do not breath it in, or you will need a trip to the vets or doctors for some steroids as you or your pet will soon end up struggling to breath. Once the dust has settled though you should be fine so wear a mask and keep them out of the room when applying. It is a brilliantly effective all natural pesticide though, like op said it works two ways dessication like silica it robs the moisture out of critters to dry them out but it also so tiny and sharp that it can pierce the armour of critters under their own weight. I think its made from tiny shards of million year old tiny sea creatures.

yep, $10 or something bottle of desiccant powder cleared my apartment of bedbugs, stuff is amazing.

Boric acid seems to work as well. havnt offed any pets yet using it, but it isnt instant gratification either.

Also works in your garden for insects that spawn in soil, and is a great source of monosilicic acid.

What is it?

[–] MaFishTacosDaBombBro 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

It's silicon dioxide, the same chemical that makes up crab-shells, fingernails and hair. It's a great supplement as well.

Thanks.

L o l

Hair and fingernails are keratin. Pretty fucking obviously not made of the same shit as seashells

[–] Approved 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

It's basically ground-up tiny, tiny shells from diatoms.

[–] slevin_kelevra 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Got it, thanks.

But flies can fly over it

[–] Approved 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

You know what you get if you pull the wings off a fly?

[–] 6and7eighths 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago
