Eminent Domain has been used maliciously for the days of Robber Barrons. The article does make a good point somewhat but eminent domain was always meant to pass a litmus test of sorts, one that determines that the small inconvenience of seizure, WHICH THE ENTIRE CONSTITUTION IS AGAINST meets such a high requirement for the good of the public well being, that the seizure is warranted.

Imagine telling the writers of the Constitution that you were going to seize a home on the riverfront to build a bridge that could be built elsewhere? Try and imagine what they would tell you. I'm sure they would say "Go fuck yourself!" but it would be something similar.
