Trump seems like one of the worst political candidates in recent memory. He has all the downsides of both a Republican and a Democrat. Watching him surge in polls makes me depressed; his inevitable drop can't come soon enough.

Just curious, what does he have in common with the democrats?

I was specifically thinking of this issue, since Democrats (at least the politicians) are generally more supportive of eminent domain use than Republicans are. Of interest is the Kelo v. New London SCOTUS case where the Democratic appointees sided with the city in using eminent domain to hand over seized land to private developers, and most Republican appointees sided with the land owners. Of course, Reps. seem more supportive of eminent domain use with respect to the Keystone pipeline, so it's not exactly clear cut.

In the past, Trump has sided with Democrats in other areas too, like abortion, although he seems to be walking all that back now.

And? They need to stop using the word 'take'. Nothing was taken.

Here;

take verb \ˈtāk\

took

\ˈtu̇k\ tak·en

\ˈtā-kən\ tak·ing

Definition of TAKE

transitive verb

1 : to get into one's hands or into one's possession, power, or control: as

a : to seize or capture physically <took them as prisoners>

b : to get possession of (as fish or game) by killing or capturing

c (1) : to move against (as an opponent's piece in chess) and remove from play (2) : to win in a card game <able to take 12 tricks>

d : to acquire by eminent domain

I'd like to point you to this. Take is fully applicable. Most notably through definition 1.b.

e: Are you one of those idiots who thinks your "opinion" or "feelings" matters more than reality? Are you a "republican"?

Government-backed theft through overwhelming lethal force is wrong... Unless I agree with it because it makes me money.

Really, now.
