I agree. She seems genuine, at least. At this point, I'll take almost anyone if they're honest and mean well.

Yeah, a pro-TPP and anti-gun libertarian. Just what we need...

Because of this post, i looked at her website and platform.

I like lots of what she says, but dislike much of it too. She COMPLETELY lost me when, on her "issues" page, she says "Support Black Lives Matter." Fuck that racist, terrorist, idiotic, hypocritical "organization."

Ya, I cringed when I saw that part too. But while that movement is fucked, it has sucked in some decent but gullible people that would be in the right demmografic for her. As a small party they need to take what they can get.
I am not trying to defend the position, just trying to explain the madness.

In the end I am willing to accept it because the support seems more token than genuine, and her stances on maintaining our freedoms and rights, while cracking down on big business and corruption are a worthwhile trade-off. Every other candidate wants to increase corruption or decrease our rights. And often both.

I don't think there has ever been a candidate that I agree with 100%, and I would assume the same is true for you and most others. Sometimes we just have to find the person that has the smallest number of defects.

I wholeheartedly agree with the "not 100%" part.

I would have to make a damn chart to see who had the fewest number of defects. But then again, probably not, because any candidate who wanted to push TRUE freedom would be blocked by congress. Not a whole lot a president can do singlehandedly.

But let's be honest with ourselves. Strategic voating is what created, and traps us, in a two party system.

That was such a great point I had to break my months-long hiatus from voat just to let you know you've gone and convinced me to shift my support from Trump to Stein.

How is Trump not liberal in the right meaning of the word? He is the one who wants to preserve the most freedoms of all.

Except your privacy, and rights. He supports a surveillance state, and things like the patriot act.

He is more liberal than Hillery, but not very liberal in general. He's a moderate.

Still like I said, he wants to protect by far more rights than any other candidate, the question is do you want to believe leftists when they promise you not to spy on you (which leftist governments in Europe do like it's 1984) or do you want to keep your tangible and crucial second amendment rights that provide you with actual protection of your life, liberty and property?
