This is used in real-world applications. Look up 'codetalkers' - they were native Americans who communicated in encrypted Navajo or whatever during WW2 because good luck to the Japs cracking a code when the plaintext is in a language that a few hundred people in an American desert speak.
Create your own. Read The Language Construction Kit and a few reference grammars for languages you'd like to base it on. It's not too difficult just a lot of research. If you create a script for it too it will become nearly impossible to decode.
