College game design programs are as useful as degrees from ITT tech. Let DiGRA push the SJWs into wasting thousands of dollars on diploma mills. That's a win win situation for us.

Even if it's useless, I don't think the precedent should be allowed. Once they start banning you from one degree, what's to stop them from maneuvering themselves into a position where they can ban you from entering other degrees? Maybe I'm worrying a little too much, but honestly this is the kind of thing that can lead to gatekeeping of entire subjects at academic institutions.

It definitely sets a bad precedent, and shows just how prejudiced the US educational system is towards males.

Already happens. Your college essay is a personality test. I have a full scholarship for engineering, a 3.8 GPA and 31 on the ACT. But I was rejected by state film schools twice.

Was able to get my portfolio reviews, top score in visual, top score in writing samples, lowest score in essay and critical thinking. The responses felt I was not self aware and too consumerist bc I showed too much respect for traditional values and not enough dissent.

In other words I liked story too much to join in pushing the narrative.

I agree and disagree. Game Design degrees are IMNSHO a colossal waste of money (I have two Computer Science degrees, Bachelor's and Master's, so I am quite biased) but the precedent must not be set.

A lot of us KIA'ers like equality of opportunity, myself included. Anyone who wants to try should be able to get in. But an opportunity to try is not an automatic success.
