I wish I had been intending to buy it, so I could refuse to. Sadly I had no intention from the start. Still think it's bullshit though.

It doesn't matter people will still buy it. The SJW adjustments will creep up slowly and by the time people will be bothered enough to vote with their wallets the game will have ever female character be overweight, wearing hipster glasses and with neon colored hair.

I'm not much of a Street Fighter fan but I know that series practically invented competitive play in fighters. Are the hardcore competitive players going to buy and play a game that has different frames between regions? I can only hope not.

I've been livid all weekend over this and debated most of yesterday whether to make a 'self' post about it here. Capcom is making a bad move here because, I can only surmise, they've interpreted hit-pieces on Kotaku and elsewhere as legitimate concern in the West. But again, how could they not? Our media IS our voice despite players like us decrying it and trying to burn it down constantly.

"Pre-order Cancelled" is a widely held sentiment I've encountered on every forum I've gone looking for opinion on this. I hope enough of those are real enough that Capcom investigates wtf just happened.

The most hopeful idea I've heard in all this time was on a forum, someone quipping "poor PS4 players." But I later realized how brilliant this comment is, the SF4 mod community has been pretty surprising and lively in the last years and created some truly amazing online-friendly mods to the game (reskins, re-angling cameras and the like). And as long as this censorship only involves skins and camera angles... we can actually fix that ourselves. Except the poor PS4 players, sorry.

That said, I'm not pre-ordering this for a completely different set of reasons. PC is the only version I will ever care about. Capcom has a history of shitting PC ports. Wait-and-see is the only strategy I have to combat that. Sorry, Capcom, you don't get my money early either way.

This was going to offend a whole lot of people who never play video games.

I'm silly. This "revision" is meant to "educate" the average video game player: the male. Feminists want to re-educate us.

Sounds a lot scarier with the reeducation part.

Now this Is censorship, Funny that this take place so soon after skull girls, an incident that I had trouble calling it censorship, but now I'm comfortable in saying that it very much is.

They basically pushed a patch out to censor some panty shots. The original artist said they didn't want them in there, so a lot of people were brushing it off.

But, it was already out there and, on most platforms, patching is non-optional, meaning if you don't like the change you can't not get it. This isn't a cutting room floor thing, this is putting something out there and then walking it back.

Haha, man, if they come back and say that. "No, cause Mika was too close to the corner, the camera couldn't pan down far enough for the slap... and additionally the legs at the end of the move got messed up." How amazingly convenient. They really should go with that immediately.

This is perfect, I hope this blows up to be a shitstorm like no other. Of course you'd be an idiot to expect Crapcom to listen to their fans, because they really won't. They haven't done so before and they won't do so now. Really, put on some shades and fucking deal with that fact.

Then realize that this is creating a huge vacuum. For a game.. which would be potentially even sleazier than the original, with interesting new characters, new locales, hell. there could even be a proper STORY involved! So for all the pain the SF loyalists feel now, the reward will be even greater when Crapcom loses yet another francise to someone else that's just going to do it better than they are. Oh yes, brace yourselves kiddies, the next five years worth of sleazy fighters is going to make Street Fighter V look like a modest and mature affair. And you know what? When I'm using some huge boobed girl to pummel my friends into submission (and using her special tit power to smother them) I'll think back on writing this comment and how fortunate I was not to get my jimmies rustled.

I have a similar opinion on this. I wonder how far back SJWs have to be pushed before this materializes? The vacuum definitely exists, but there is a political force holding the lid down at the moment, I feel. When that goes away the complete lack of game there is going to be capitalized on by someone.

I really thought Skullgirls was that IP, and they weathered some truly disgusting opposition, but now they're erasing 20 frames of panties here and there... So my confidence has withered a bit.
