They are literally bending over backwards for the community at this point, despite their own personal views on the subject.

It's not some kind of personal favour for mods to partially disregard their personal views and do some of what their community wants, that's what they're supposed to be doing.

I agree, I came here thinking that the voat community would be the one without all the useless drama bullcrap. Gotta wait it out and see what happens. I think it would be fun if there would be at least ONE (1) GG board where only ethics were discussed.

I have to agree here, KiA mods are getting really ban happy, My thread on the srs/askreddit thread was also deleted despite having 200+ upvotes.

Many people within Gamergate are trying to control the narrative for a while. I remember back just before Black Friday when Oliver Campbell and others were telling people not to boycott games by anti-gg for some reason that I forgot. They went into full campaign mode on twitter, youtube, and 8chan. That is when it first came apparent to me.

To say that people within Gamergate are not trying to control the narrative is at best naive and at worst deceptive.

Drama posts were becoming our clickbait, and people were all to happy to feed into it.

What a joke.

KotakuInAction always had rules. Rules are literally censorship by definition.

You didn't complain when posting of dox (something irrelevant, and damaging) was banned.

So don't complain that something equally irrelevant (not quite as damaging, though, it's just distracting and completely off-topic) is NOT EVEN BANNED, but redirected.

Quality control is a thing that exists. If you want complete anarchy with absolutely no rules, go to /b/. KiA always had them.

Attention whoring because you're not allowed to post irrelevant things is just really low.

The fact that you chose to give up and not try to make the place better, when the mods are so incredibly receptive to criticism and feedback, means that you don't give a shit anyway. So good riddance, you probably never even bothered to send mails or in any way contribute anyway.

You never said that, but THAT'S A FACT. Rules literally are censorship. When you ban dox, you are censoring people that post dox, and censoring that dox. Every single rule is a form of censorship. Not all content is desirable. The most innocent form of censorship in any community that isn't 100% random like /b/, is censoring off-topic content. That's all that the KiA mods did, so yeah.

And I have no idea what you are specifically referring to. Are you complaining about meta stuff not being allowed, and the fact that the drama tag exists? Because nothing other than meta stuff is being censored.

Considering that KiA is the best GG community there is, and that it actually has decent quality control and isn't full of paranoid people calling everyone shills (I respect 8chan but they are absolutely insufferable a lot of the times), yes, I do want this place and every place associated with GG to turn into /r/kotakuinaction. If that happened, GG would be even better than it was.

I'm always going to oppose ridiculous fearmongering and attempts to stir infighting for absolutely meaningless reasons, like you're doing right now. Someone has to.

I actually agree that it's off topic, but if it's getting downvotes then what's the problem?
