I would like to crochet all year round too; it just gets so stinking hot around my parts that the thought of wool just puts me off, lol BUT if you can build up your stock for next year, now that is just plum clever.

Try crocheting with cotton in the summer, or doing things with an openwork type pattern—less heavy and itchy. I started crocheting this set of table mats last July when it was 90+ degrees and it was not bad at all. http://freevintagecrochet.com/free-doily-patterns/dritz20/fiesta-doily-pattern
