Ooooh I love a good custom keyboard!
If you're looking for something a little more refined than Cherry, check out MOD switches or Zelios. There's also Panda switches (or something along that name) which uses customised Gateron parts, I think they may have been GH group buy only though.
There's plenty of weird and wonderful keyboard kits out there too. If you check up on GH's GB section or IC section there's usually something crazy in the making which may interest you, custom CNC cases, split designs, new layouts, ect ect.
Or ofc there's always the Phantom PCB, built to replicate Filco's style but fully programmable, backlight compatable, multi layout support, which fits almost all custom TKL cases on the market. So many options!
