Problem with that is you have no idea what's in compost tea if you make it yourself, it could be 100% nitrogen which would fuck up any flowers, fruits, or vegetables you try to grow except for lettuce and cabbage family plants. That's why I will never do it personally. Also, it ends up being the exact same chemicals that are in fertilizers like miracle gro unfortunately, so if it was down to tea or miracle gro I'd honestly go with the one that has known ratios. I know a lot of people have great success but I can't bring myself to put fertilizer with completely unknown ratios of nutrients on my plants.

Unless something is straight fresh shit, compost tea won't burn. Fish emulsion is pretty good and guaranteed not to burn your plants.

Only fish emulsion I could find was something like 15-0-1 or 1-15-0 which doesn't seem remotely close enough to balanced to be good for otherwise healthy soil

We are using a soil test kit on our compost tea. Should work out about the same.
