Technically those are all Ms. Bees. Drone bees are banned from my honey super.

I'm gonna be right up-front about this and tell you all I know is they put bees in my fields and they used to charge me for this. I changed to a local guy and he actually gives me delicious honey for the right to put all the damned boxes of bees in my fields that he wants to. Hell, I might ask 'em if he's interested in a further partnership and putting some bees in near the farm. There's tons of fields and lots and lots of clover-covered acreage.

It's delicious honey. I haven't paid for honey in years. I have gallons of the stuff. Probably not as much as you, however. If I have more honey than you, you're either doing it very right or you're doing it very wrong.

They don't sting me, or nuffin. That's pretty awesome - 'cause I'm actually allergic to bees. However, their venom isn't very powerful and they'd have to sting me a lot to make me do more than say fuck and maybe wheeze in 15 minutes. Meh... I ain't scared. I don't even usually carry my shot kit!

They're pretty tame so long as you don't breath on 'em. They seem to hate that. Otherwise, I've sat right on the hives and eaten my lunch - which was also, I assure you, delicious.

Very few things in life are more important that delicious.

Honey bees tend to be very docile unless you directly threaten the hive. Thats awesome you're giving space to a local bee keeper. Hopefully in the next few years I'll expand and drop a few hives at my friends apple orchard.

I probably have ~1 gallon or so left in frames from my bees who died the other year but some of that is mixed with sugar water feed so I never extracted it. I'll feed it back to my new bees this fall/winter so they have plenty of food.
