I've spent the last couple of days picking mulberries between when I get home and when my kids have baseball. I've got about 12 gallon size zip locks full. Didn't get any last year because of a late freeze, and didn't live here the year before. Making the most of it this year though.

Likewise. I dont do cakes or anything like that, but put some custard and berries together and I will start stabbing people with a fork to get my fill.

Almost nothing in my yard is native the the America's.
Regardless, my parents had on in the back 40 that my great great grandfather planted, and I fell in love with the berries as a kid.

I want to titty fuck that thing. I took some cuttings from a local tree, hopefully I can get a few to take.
They can be propagated from cuttings, right?

Sorry dude, you're getting sloppy seconds.
I haven't had any success with the cuttings, but I haven't tried very hard.
Fun fact my Serbian friend pointed out to me. Mulberry is pronounced dude, and dude is pronounced tits. So tits, want some of my dude pie?

How the fuck did you grow a custard tart?

I'm just that good boy.

Pretty cool. I really love the shape of its leaves. Seems like a young tree though. What is the average yield of yours?

I've got 8, ranging from I'd guess 40 years, to 5 years.
Edit, I can fill a gallon zip lock in five minutes from the low hanging branches. Haven't bothered with getting a ladder out yet.

I don't normally eat sweet stuff but I would fuck that pie up!

That's pretty much why I like them. They aren't exactly great, but I remember being a kid and damned near killing myself to get to the berries.

did you grow the wheat yourself, and mine and process the metal for the tin?
[–] Dkeere [S] ago
Actually I do grow my own wheat, and have smelter iron ore before. Quite a bit of iron ore.
[–] 12999520? ago
I don't doubt that you grow your own wheat but that wasn't the question. Is this tart made from your own wheat?
