I do this with a lot of plants and I have posted some like this before. A lot of soft plants will root if left in oxygentated water. Im currently doing rosemary and thyme cuttings, previous did some pepino and comfrey.
Bucket of water. Or just through the fish tank. I just throw them in there with nothing special. The fish tank has a seperate area that has water pumped through though though so it is areated.
This isn't actually a clone. I snipped the plant out of the planting medium as I dropped too many seeds in there. Now instead of 12 tomato plants, I have 16!

You must not have known that each little hair on a tomato plant stem is a root waiting to form once it attaches to a proper surface/gets enough nutrition.

Clipped a tomato stem and popped in water for a week. New roots!

Do you just keep an airstone on there? I used a wine glass for these, lol.

I've never propagated tomatoes before, so I wouldn't know how easy they would be to root. That's interesting. Did you use tap water?

Straight from the tap.
