I potted up early with bagged potting soil, some higher end brand that I forget the name of. Something in it absolutely devistated my lavender and ornamental grasses, and everything else ended up with a plague of aphids. Black Gold I believe it was called.
Ended up saving some by removing all the soil and dousing them in copper sulfate, then dusted everything with dried pyrethrum flowers. So yeah, be careful with bags stored outside at big box stores.

All kinds of stuff. Mostly peat for these, then potting up to various soil and medium types.

I'm doing the same. Peat+vermiculite for seedlings. Then repot with mostly compost and w/e else I got.
