And the illegal immigrants read the 14th amendment like you read the 2nd. People interpret the 2nd amendment in many ways for example https://www.loc.gov/law/help/second-amendment.php so it goes back to A well regulated Militia and the general public is far from regulated.

The Militia is why this is necessary. This can be seen in a letter written by James Madison (1789) called Amendments to the Constitution. In the letter he writes "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country: but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render militarily service in person." In this we can see the militia is why this right is necessary. However it does not have the intent to grant the right to militia only but to every person. Which is why it starts with "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed[.]"

I like how people pick bits of the Constitution and use it to prove an argument (The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed) BUT leave out ("A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State)
