I would be too. If it's restored, you wanna be careful. If it's only kind of restored (in service condition), then it's a toy. Mine is a toy although a lot of TLC, some rust conversion, a couple gallons of CARC, and some replacement wiring would quickly move it to restoration status.
I assume there's a reason that this is a trailer queen - even though it's restored. The quote from the original guy (I was forwarded a portion of their email discussion) was that it was in "parade ready" and "juried show" condition. I understand that most of the numbers match - but I'm not even sure where to look for those on such a vehicle (or even if they're speaking of VIN like I'm used to) and the only thing not original is the "tub." I'm not actually sure what the tub is - except, logically, it's part of the body.
The person who contacted me is the same person I bought my Dart from. There's a weekly car show down in West Gardiner and that's where I met 'em. He's pretty solid and reputable.
