Yup. That's what this story is going to be about. Getting lost and gettin' in a ditch. I'm the main character of this story!
So my(former) job took me to different home depot/Lowes. This was the first real job I had which took me to areas I was completely unfamiliar with in the biggest city in Texas.
After finishing my FIRST day on the job, I make my way to my classes after work. I take a wrong turn then end up on Highway 90 alternate in my dunky little car that shakes violently going over 75.(hint, if you're not going 90mph on a Texas highway, you're slowing everyone else down). So, this cars gas gauge is completely unreliable after the tank goes under a quarter tank which is where my meter was pointing, and i'm out in nothing but cornfields and I actually hit the end of this damn highway. After calling a parent, panicking asking for directions, I pull into a parking lot of an Ice House to calm down and figure out the last bit of my route. I try to back out and BAM! I'm in a ditch the EXACT size of my car. 3 cowboys come out from the ice house to save me. All on my first day of work!
BONUS: i was just around the corner from my destination!
I never told anyone at work about this.
