It was my first day working at a summer camp and all my campers were 4 or 5. We let them go swimming and all the boys change in the same locker room while me and the other male counselors just monitor and make sure everything goes smoothly. So, this one day as the campers are changing back into their clothes one of my 4 year olds comes up to me and tells me that he can''t find his pants. No big deal, they have to be in this locker room somewhere, right? I tell him that we'll find them but it's too late for reassurance, he bursts into tears. I ask him what they look like, so that I know what to search for. Of course, he tells me that he doesn't know. I ask him where he changed before, he doesn't know. Now I have this 4 year old who is balling his eyes out because he has no idea where his pants are, and he's also but naked. I can't find them anywhere, there were literally no other clothes in the room. I dry off his bathing suit and tell him to wear that for the rest of the day. Sucks for him, and I know that he's only 4, but it was annoying to say the least, but now the other counselors and I know him as the boy who lost his pants. He lost them again 3 days later, but I was able to find them that time.
