Archived r/incels is not a shelter anymore? (Incels)
submitted 11 months ago by fallingagain
So what is going on with the r/incels right now? Can someone explain? Because now I feel like the place was overrun by overly aggressive "normies". Any incel comment gets downvoted to shit immidately, but posts that ostracize, offend and shame incels are well received. Was it always like that or it changed recently (and why?). I'm asking here because I'm afraid they would've suspend me from reddit for this kind of question.

I don't think they would suspend you from reddit for that question. The sub gets linked a lot in other subs quite often so there is pretty much a constant stream of non-incels, and most incel comments get downvoted. Any comments that are very mean or harass incels are removed though.

Please don't link to these shitholes or even mention them , thank you (ok, last one isn't bad).. We will not give them traffic or make anybody aware of them if they're still blessed enough to not be. If you don't do this I'll delete your post by morning. Also, check what trigglypuff recommended about links to Reddit in general.

Oh yeah, it's chill, I can edit out the links. Yeah, the last one isn't really bad at all and I don't blame people for getting frustrated.

I didn't really stick around reddit in general because the people on that site don't understand us. I feel like every time I posted on a non-incel sub, i would get snarky messages. It's bad enough that we suffer the way we do; people shouldn't kick a dog while its down.

It's unfortunate that this has happened. The Normies just want to silence the Incels so that we suffer while they indulge in their hedonistic desires and parade their degeneracy.

Not a shelter? Hell no.
Any time I post, vent, explain, or anything I get down voted into hell. The only thing I post is logical and well thought out posts. They are not supposed to down vote unless I do not add to the discussion. But they down vote simply because they disagree.
Fuck those non incel assholes.
The reason why fschmidt was banned from that sub isn't some SJW censorship but the fact that dsar is an incompetent moderator who wouldn't do anything for days and then show up and ban anybody for the slightest infraction. I unbanned some people he banned when I was a mod there because they did nothing wrong. He is no SJW, he thinks like us but he's just not fit for the job and making him a mod was mistake. I even once posted a warning to him publicly there but removed it because some guy said it makes us look unstable as a moderation team. So I warned him in private, but to no avail.
That being said, VirginsUncensored is much worse. It's basically a playground for haters, as it doesn't ban anybody.

I was banned from /r/incels. The problem is too many moderators. I don't see why a forum (sub) needs more than one moderator. The only way to have consistent moderation is to have just one moderator.
[–] qwerty1423 0 points 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) 11 months ago
The problem is that all the moderators (including myself) have busy lives, so none of us could keep up with the moderation responsibilities all by ourselves. We would need someone to spend several hours a day on /r/Incels if they were to be the sole moderator.
[–] AmericanGal1996 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) 11 months ago
You'd pretty much have to be online for 10 hours a day, which I mean I have done at some points in the past, but that won't be happening anymore because school is starting again.

It's always been brigaded badly. This is a screenshot I took around the first hour of incels. Every reply is collapsed from downvotes.
[–] dannymason 0 points 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) 11 months ago (edited 11 months ago)
It's being regularly brigaded from outside subs. It's also become a fixture in "what is the most shocking thing you've ever seen on reddit" threads in AskReddit. Someone or some people have also been using automated scripts to mass downvote posts there. It changed like this fairly recently, but there was a bit of a gradual build up to it.
