You would first have to bave a benchmark mark of what is considered a human, then go back to the first generation to meet the benchmark.

The prefixes of wo in woman and fe in female are not even etymologically related and not technically even prefixes. They are complete and seperate evolutions that also happend to, by sheer coincidence, evolve into almost identical spellings.

edit: Words are tuff.

IIRC, man in Old English stood for "human", wyfman stood for "female human" and werman for "male human". This is where woman comes from, the werewolf comes from and terms like mankind come from. But yeah, let's just mix it all up and claim oppression.

Q: How do you know Adam and Eve weren't black? A: Have you ever tried to take a rib from a black man?

It's a process of selective advancement. Think about how a rifle went from an arguebus to a smooth bore matchlock all the way to a modern rifled automatic weapon, each step the design was refined. We can find examples of past designs in shit condition at some archaeological sites, but there aren't many matchlocks still around because a better design proliferated instead.

Evolution happens when these variations occur randomly due to mutation and sexual reproduction. Sometimes a combination of traits just plain out performs and so it's owner is more successful acquiring resources and reproducing.

Obviously the animal that came before won't be around, just like there aren't any more arquebusses around. The design was simply replaced with the more effective one. In our case, that old design was sort of monkey-sh, but it spit, some of it tried to live in land that was converting to fields and so it switched to an upright posture, lost a lot of it's fur and became a plains runner, that's us. Some of it retreated deeper into the jungle and those who were better at climbing trees out performed and you ended up with monkeys.

But gun designs artificially selected by us refined over just 700 years, so it's real easy to see the process that led one to the next, it was all recent and well recorded with a good amount of intact specimens. Animals improving their design through selective advantages take hundreds of generations, so generally hundreds of thousands of years or more to slowly change from one form to another.

But if you want to see this process in action yourself, you can 100% force evolution in a short amount of time. Take some fruit flies or bacteria, choose a trait, and flip a coin for any individual without that trait, killing the ones that get tails. Even though you only kill some of the unfavored trait in the population, in only few weeks that trait will disappear and you will be left with the trait that didn't face the coin toss.

Agreed, but also that the theory of evolution applies to anything and everything apart from humans.
