He's right about patriotism being the exact opposite of Nationalism - but Patriotism is the treasonous worldview, not Nationalism.

No, they're not synonymous. Patriotism was defined long ago when every nation was an ipso facto ethnostate because mass migration was not possible.

Today, Patriotism is loyalty to a government and its laws. A Nationalist is loyalty to the ethnic people who populate the nation. As a nation becomes more multi-ethnic, you'll start seeing more conflict between Nationalists and "Patriots."

Imagine a scenario where, in America, all the white people start migrating out of the country and non-whites migrate in. Nothing else changes. Same laws, same treaties, same borders, same States etc. After a while, no one living in America is descended from someone who founded the nation. Is it really still America? A patriot would say yes. A Nationalist would say no.
