Well the opposition has always had all the power over us, it's just now that they're starting to flex some muscle.

You better hope they don't go all-out.

Not necessarily their "power" is hinged on things like lies, propaganda, etc. which basically means they have no foundation, nothing of worth holding them together, no true stability, no decency, values, principles, etc.

That being the case it's only a matter of time, and things might get a little worse in the short run. Really it should just be strengthening our resolve and reminding us to stick to the high ground as much as possible. Let them have a foundation placed on sand while we're based on truth, they'll only stand so long.

Also they're lashing out because they're both fearful and hate us, now while a cornered animal is dangerous, they're not really cornered, and overly emotional people don't typically win conflicts.

Well you're referring to the strength of their arguments. And you're right, all of their smoke is based on lies.

I'm referring to their temporal power. They own everything.

They own Google, Facebook, Comcast, Verizon, the banking industry, the financial industry, your 401ks, the energy companies, the oil companies, the government (w/ some exceptional individuals), the Courts, the police forces, the military. They own it all. Every major corporation is owned by the opposition, and a lot of the small businesses too (either directly or indirectly). Have a mortgage? They own your home. Have a savings account? They own that too. (*)

Their leverage is not illusory because in the contemporary era, money is power.

E.g... We probably thought that we had a First Amendment right to assemble. Turns out we were wrong on that one. Only people with certain values have that right.

Now you see people with certain views being kicked off of Internet platforms and payment services. ALL of that stuff is owned by them... and they don't have to sell us their services. If they don't like the views of their customers or employees, they can refuse service and employment. Note that this doesn't apply to Christian bakers, though.

We better hope Trump gets 8 years and gives us some breathing room or we're fooked.

(*) You'd be surprised how few people understand that a savings / checking account is nothing more than an IOU. Once that money is handed over to the bank, it is legally no longer yours. It can be taken and there's nothing you can do about it.

It doesn't matter. In there here an now, it's still power; an iron-grip, which we cannot ATM break.

Error above is sort of right in that they've always (at least 70 yrs now) had the power.

The stranglehold of ALL of the MSM is the biggest reason for this. Peeps disagree w/me and talk about the net, but I insist, the eyeballs via "new media" is still a pittance compared to the MSM. (Exception is Trump because he had real power via his $$$)

We don't have that now. The MSM still shapes the narrative to "the populous". This here, is effectively a small echo chamber. If we had an even handed MSM, this entire thing would be over in a week.

But the situation is as it is so unlike Error, I'm not gonna worry about what kind of power (((they))) might end up "flexing" down the road.

We have to Marshall on.

The story is not yet written.

Strange how many downvotes this got. It shows that many live in a dream world on this website, and it also shows alt-right got no chance if they truly live in a dream world as this points to.

If you can't see the whole picture in a realistic way then you cannot play the game. Children trying to play adults game, no wonder they don't care about flexing their muscles yet. I see no threat at all.

It's a rather small step to rounding people up and putting them in cages. Pretty routine in this country actually.
