Why not both? Voat isn't going anywhere, and lets be honest, I only see Reddit going downhill, which means more Voat traffic.

Indeed. I'm not leaving Voat. DailyStormer has a forum too, I understand. So... forum/shmorum - everybody's got one. And this all kind of got it's start from 4chan. And they got it from neo-nazi skinhead types who got it from Pierce/Rockwell.

I figure people will just go to wherever they're comfortable.

And let's not forget Gab.

I think it'd be a good rallying place in case of emergency, but this is better, we're in the middle of building this up, and I think it's very important to be in a place that isn't only alt-right. A website called AltRight.com would literally be the worst place to recruit and engage people with content.

Right, I'd rather concentrate oh ways to get normie-VOATers here and Reddit exiles as well.

Let's be honest, most of us are reddit exiles. Many from /r/altright but I'm sure there's been a few converts.

Even though I will join the AltRight.com forum, this sub still needs to be opened and active because we need a presence everywhere. I think everyone here should continue to contribute here.

Is this from talking with Spencer & co? Because he's been pretty clear that he doesn't want anything to do with forums, due to excessive nihilism and drama that inevitably arises.

Frankly I think he's right about that. Without moderation they tarnish themselves with the spergier internet nazi element and swastika memes and with sufficient moderation lots of peoples will get pissed off at the heavy handedness.

I actually think it's the other way around.

My position is that both too much and too little moderation leads to fail states, without it being clear that there's any level of moderation that actually is good.

For instance, I don't think it would be a good thing for Spencer, Palmgren, Friberg et al to be associated even with this forum. They try to present themselves as serious and that's going to be difficult if they also run a forum full of holocaust jokes. And a forum where holocaust jokes aren't allowed isn't going to be a good forum since it will be too stiffled.

That is, I am skeptical there's a middle ground between the demands of presenting as serious intellectuals and the anarchy required for a living forum so that both can be run on the same platform.

Richard Spencer and the rest of the team associated with AltRight.com are aware of the JQ, correct?
