You're trying to argue with dialectic (ie. facts/reason/evidence) against people who only understand rhetoric (ie. emotion). Saying that "antifa are commies" is, to normies, weak, non-persuasive rhetoric. Nobody gives a shit about commies because, culturally, they are not perceived as a threat. It doesn't matter how correct you are factually. You will never persuade people and thus never win an argument this way; you'll only go in circles with them and frustrate yourself. If you want to genuinely win arguments then you must adapt to these circumstances no matter how unfortunate it seems.

Most normies interpret fascism to be a synonym for authoritarianism, despotism, dictatorship, etc. When normie Trump supporters are saying "antifa are the real fascists" they are calling them authoritarian bullies - they're not critiquing Mussolini.

I think it is playing to the tune of the left to call them fascists. It reinforces the modern rootless definition of fascism which has become so wide it allows them to accuse almost anyone of being one. And as we all know that fascists are right wing, if we call some group fascists it immediately connects them to the right in the minds of others. So then almost all acts of violence will be thought of as right wing by people, at least on a subliminal level.

It also lets communists off the hook. The left never punches left; they are slowly trying to legitimise and glamorise communism. Any body can look into the history of communism and see that antifa behave exactly like communist agitators of the past. So we must call them what they are to help remind the populace of the true dangers of communism and not continue feeding into the zealous vilification of fascism.

Should just call them communists tbh. But yea TD seems pretty obsessed about calling other people Hitler. It's kind of like the DR3, even though they pretend like the left's words don't hurt them, they still virtue signal like crazy.

However, after reading through some comment sections today, I'm confident that the people who make up TD are approaching white nationalism.
