I think people are thinking of this more of the new reddit. While it is in many ways I think people should try forging new paths and experimenting with different things rather than going by the book. It should be modeled more after user experience (which the creator has been doing a good job of) instead of trying to follow in Reddit's steps exactly.

Oh god all of my this. Screw cat pics and TIL. /r/pityfuck, for example, has had no luck, do you think it would take off more on here?

/v/niggers is already up, where's our /v/jailbait?

Jailbait is pretty gross dude. Reddit made a business decision and got rid of it to appeal to investors (and because its gross). However this sight is promising a more "open and less moderated experience"... /v/jailbait is coming very close to a line where, if we cross it... you can say goodbye to this website.

Racism is one thing.

The distribution and hosting of child pornagraphy is on a whole other fucking scale.

For the record:

I like that there are upvote/downvote counts like RES used to have.

I like that you can upvote and comment on things that are older than 6 months, and we are told the actual day count and not just the vague "6 months ago" or "2 years ago."

Please don't let this change. Remember that Reddit used to be freewheeling.

I like that the trophies look cool. Reddit trophies look terrible. Voat/Whoaverse trophies are aesthetically pleasing.

I wish the logo were cooler. I don't like pastel colors or rounded letters.

Thanks for the feedback. :-)

I designed the logo to fit with the rest of the site, which has the same colors and rounded letters. I'm not sure exactly how you'd like it to look, though.

Angular letters.

Here's a sample for some ideas.

Don't be afraid to make it look techy even if marketing says fonts like that don't appeal to a female audience. I'd like a logo that I can actually pleasurably look at. By the same token, I'd love a change in the message coloration and layout even though aping the addictive orangered and white rectangle envelope of Reddit would have copyright issues.

Better yet, an option to change which version of the logo you view when you sign in, just like light/dark themes. Is that possible?
