Successful or not, you should release an Indiana Jones style video when you're done to show your path. (Map w/ a travel line)

Syria looks fantastic this time of year. What are your plans for visiting that region?

Haha :) Yeah, there are places in this world were you cannot afford to fool around. Syria is a large country and its not every region which is "on fire". So I can pick out a safe spot depending on where that might be when I approach. I'm doing this as a goodwill ambassador of the Red Cross and the Syrian Red Crescent may be able to give me some good advise. I have also served as a UN peacekeeper long ago so I know what to look for to keep me safe...in some cases.

So, how and when do you plan to get to North-Korea?

Hi, North Korea will be sometime next year if all goes well. Unless they have closed all borders (as they sometimes do) it is pretty straight forward. You simply pay for a visa and ride a train in. It's generally a misconception that North Korea is hard to visit. But it is certainly a country which will provide you with some unique memories I think.

One of the worlds really tough countries to visit is less known. It is Equatorial Guinea. I recently went and it took me 4 months to get in.

Mainly it is hard to visit if you're from the USA

How are you planning on crossing Somalia?

I'm currently planing on entering from the north as that region, Somaliland, is peaceful and safe. But I would like to see if I could get down to the capital, Mogandishu, in one piece. If not then I can't and will simply travel onward.

Hi, I see you visited Argentina. I'm an argie myself so here's some argie questions:

  1. Best and worst travel story from Argentina?

  2. Best place that you visited in Argentina?

  3. Best food? Did you eat asado and drink Fernet?

  4. How was the people? Any bad experiences?

Hi, nope...nothing bad at all. Nothing except that it was a little cold coming over the Andes from Chile but that's hardly Argentinas fault :)

1) best story would have been just walking around enjoying the atmosphere and talking to people. This one guy brought me to a local place and I had some great food!!! There was this impromptu concert in a park with some incredible guitar players. Stuff like that. 2) I really liked Mendoza! It's such a cool place and I hope to return some day to climb Aconcagua. 3) yeah...definitely Asado!! I didn't have any fernet though. 4) people were cool and friendly. Especially in Mendoza life seemed really easy. Of course I met a ton of good people in BA too. But it's such a big city. I needed to find the ferry to Uruguay and someone tipped me off about another boat then the one I knew of. So I ended up saying a lot of money.

I'm coming back some day!

Glad you like it. Asado is a must, so good on whoever you were with that made you have some (don't worry about fernet, it's not that important). And yeah mendocinos are like that. I understand your take on BA though, it is a big city; I'm from a smaller city than BA and when I visit, people, traffic and behaviors are very different than my hometown.

You're always welcome to visit, dude! Just don't say Brazil or England are better at football (and anything else) or you'll get massacred, lol.

My budget average is set at $20/day and I left home on October 10th 2013. So I'd say around $16.800

Hi, it's hard to say, I almost quit about a month ago. But so far I've made it to the first 100 countries already. So that's kind of halfway. I think I might go all the way.
