Not many know how shitty the Australian law system is, so let me provide some context. But first, let's give a little back story of why I became an interest to the Australian Federal Police.
Back in 2012, I had been hanging around 'Anonymous' IRC networks (for some time, mind you). From here, I learnt a lot of information regarding protests, network security, world issues etc. Fast forward to October/November the Snowden leaks were released. From this, countries were pissed off about the information. Relating to Australia, our intelligence agency ASIO had been caught out spying on the Indonesian government/country - for whatever purpose.
This pissed off a lot of Indonesians. From there, a select few decided to start defacing websites (Over 170 so the moralfag in me decided this was a little pathetic. I created 2 short videos to redirect them to the Australian government. From there on, they shit themselves pretty good and stopped and that was that.
Fast forward to June 2014
Two guys I knew from IRC relating to the 'operation' were arrested.
Fast forward to July 2014
I was raided in relation to them and the November incident.
Fast forward to December 2014
The AFP had come up with charges and proceeded to take me to court for two things, incitement and an illegal weapon.
Inciting DDoS attacks.
Possessing a laser pointer.
Nothing more, nothing less. They had the media portray me as a hacker, without hacking, which in return caused a lot of consequences.
I'll leave the rest out but if you guys are curious, feel free to ask.
