Which has the worst customers: Hooters or Firearms store?

Good question... Both have some crazy ass people. The only customers that ever bothered me at Hooters were drunk mouthy guys. Sometimes I'd have to go to tables and let them know we want them to have a good time, but they cant be grabbing the girls and shit. If I had to go out again, it was usually to kick them out. I did get maced in the face once in the Irving location when a credit card came back stolen and the CC company asked me to detain the customer. that sucked. Another time I had a guy come in and try to repossess the engagement ring off one of the girls fingers, while she was still wearing it. That got physical. For the most part gun store customers that I consider the worst are either know it alls, or time eaters that never buy anything. I do remember having to clean up shit and vomit in bathrooms a couple of times at hooters, so I guess I'd say those dudes were the worst... So by all that logic, Hooters wins, but I had tons more customers there than at the gun shop.

Makes sense. At a gun shop all the customers know you're armed.

...Now I want a gentleman's club where the dancers wear guns in open-carry holsters and nothing else. You could call it Shooters. (Or, for a gay club, Gunshow.)

@subsonic0702 This leads to an interesting question, was the ratio of blacks / whites / hispanics of Hooters' customers similar to the ratio of whites / blacks / hispanics in the local area?

(I've never even been to the Americas so I have no experience with Hooters at all)

How much for a suppressor?

[–] subsonic0702 [S] 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago  (edited ago)

between $250 and $1200 for a can and $200 for the ATF. I'm gonna edit this because some of the high end ones can cost more...

What do you think the chances of suppressors coming off of the NFA and being able to buy them like any other firearm?

Still have to set up a trust for the paperwork?

Also, let's say someone wanted to prep an ar that has nothing in the way of anything...what do you reckon threading and such would run, any idea?

On mobile now so apologies for the brevity.

Do hooters managers bang the girls? At least see interviewees nude?

On the banging yes. Rules were against it but it happened all the time. Absolutely negative on the nude interviews.. Interviewing is tough. Girls know how to dress right to hide things that would keep them from being hired. Sometimes I'd have to ask a girl to come back for multiple interviews to make sure she looked and had the body that would fit our standards. On a fun note, I once hired a girl in the DFW area that was missing a hand. It was a birth defect that I didn't notice during the interview. (I know, I know). She was smoking hot otherwise and a great server and awesome person. She ended up being with the company for years. Not sure if it was because they were afraid to fire her, or because she was awesome. Either way, I got a lot of crap for it for years during GM meetings.....

Why leave Hooters?

Restaurant management is a tough biz to stay in long term, plus everyone thinks managing 50-60 18-26 year old hot girls is awesome, but wait until you have to find 12 of them to work on a Saturday night shift when they all want to go out.

I was about to ask if you just can't set up a schedule, but I think I'm mistaking what kind of people work at Hooters.

What are we not supposed to ask about?

[–] subsonic0702 [S] 1 points 5 points (+6|-1) ago

No idea, just thought I'd put that as someone would find a way to ask something that would get me in trouble. Probably cant talk much about dealer/distributor cost on guns and stuff since I'm still working in the industry. I think most anything else is good to go, but I hate to underestimate the glorious bastards on this site...

How many hooters girls have daddy issues? How many propositioned you with sex for favors like raises, better schedules, etc.?

Are the women who work at Hooters similar to women who work as strippers? Would you say that working for Hooters was the first step towards stipping, kind of like a gateway drug?

We had some girls that worked at night as strippers. Lot's of girls wouldn't have ever even considered it. Different strokes kinda stuff. We had Dallas cowboy cheerleaders work there from time to time, but the Cowboys franchise didn't really allow for that, so they usually left.

How does Hooters avoid employment discrimination law suits from SJWs? Seems they would be a prime target for every angry lesbian lawyer looking for a payout.

I worked in the Texas stores, but about mid way in my employment some guys in chicago, (I think), tried to sue them to become hooters girls one year. We ended up making a big deal of it company wide. Sending frisbees with customers saying they didn't want dudes working there and stuff to state reps. It clogged up mailboxes and got lots of attention. Eventually the suit was settled, and because the business was completely based on having the cheerleader next door type girls, it was allowed to continue. The ruling established a BFOQ (bonafide occupational qualification) that allowed us to continue hiring pretty girls. It also meant we had to be careful to not let standards slip though...

I think in vegas they hire cocktails waitresses as performers to get around that.

So your BFOQ actually included being pretty? Was there a bra cup size qualification? Height/weight qualification? It's hard to believe that New York and California would not find a way to challenge that. But don't mess with Texas.
