Question Archived Dry hopping in extra keg? (Homebrewing)
submitted 5.4 years ago by Matterhorny
I'm about three days away from putting my Hefeweizen in a secondary fermenter. Problem is I don't actually own a secondary fermenter due to a long home brewing hiatus. Has anyone dry hopped directly in a keg? If I use a hop bag won't that be sufficient?
Thanks for your help!

You'll be fine. I dry hop all my IPAs in the keg (don't bottle IPAs anymore) and just put the hops in a one gallon paint bag.

Thanks. I ended up just throwing them in the primary. I'll try in the keg next time and see which works better. Thanks again!

I know a couple people that fill a bag and use the out tube of the keg to good the hops down. Works for them
